The Kansas City Chiefs may look to add another receiver to their active roster with Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown and Rashee Rice sidelined for the foreseeable future.

Two star pass catchers, Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders and Amari Cooper of the Cleveland Browns, were traded to the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills respectively on Monday, and Kansas City’s options are now relatively limited.

On Tuesday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that the Jets are open to moving veteran wideout Mike Williams after their acquisition of Adams. The former Los Angeles Charger would be a logical target for the Chiefs if Andy Reid and Brett Veach decide that Patrick Mahomes needs another weapon.

Despite the injuries to Brown and Rice, Kansas City’s front office hasn’t made any indication that it is keen to add another wide receiver.

For now, it seems that the Chiefs are more likely to elevate a pass-catcher from their practice squad than they are to make a big splash in the trade market after their bye week.
