Natural gas inventories in America rose less than expected

Natural gas inventories in the United States rose by 76 Billion cubic feet during the week ending in October 11th, which is less than expectations for an increase 80 Billion cubic feet.

Data from the US Energy Information Administration revealed Thursday that total natural gas reserves amounted to 3.705 trillion cubic feet, increasing by 3%, or about 107 billion cubic feet, over the same period last year.

Inventories are also higher by 4.6%, or about 163 billion cubic feet, above the five-year average (2019-2023), amounting to 3.542 trillion cubic feet.
