The leader of the Hamas movement, Khalil Al-Hayya, announced the “martyrdom” of Yahya Al-Sinwar, stressing that “this blood will continue to light the way for us and constitute an incentive for greater steadfastness and perseverance.”

He said in his speech: “Al-Sinwar was a continuation of the caravan of great leaders in the footsteps of the founding Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, Al-Rantisi, Haniyeh, and other leaders.”

He added: “Hamas is continuing with the era of the leaders, the return, and the establishment of the Palestinian state on the entire Palestinian territories, with East Jerusalem as its capital.”

Al-Hayya also pointed out that the “martyrdom” of Sinwar and all the leaders “will only increase our movement’s strength, solidity, and loyalty to their blood. A movement of progress whose leaders are martyrs is a proud, authentic movement rooted in its people, seeking to achieve its goals.”

Al-Hayya added: “We are continuing with Hamas’ approach, and the spirit of the Al-Aqsa flood will remain a burning flame, pulsating with life in the souls of our people.”

Regarding the hostages held by Hamas, Al-Hayya said: “We say to those who are crying over the occupation’s prisoners held by the resistance that these prisoners will not be returned to you unless the aggression against our people in Gaza is stopped, the complete withdrawal from it is completed, and our heroic prisoners are released from the occupation’s prisons.”

Al-Hayya added that Al-Sinwar “rose as a hero, a martyr, approaching without planning, drawing his weapon, clashing and confronting the occupation army until the last moment of his life. At the front of the ranks, moving between combat positions, steadfast, stationed, and steadfast on the proud land of Gaza.”
