A security source revealed the final toll of those injured in the fire at Subhi Kaber Restaurant in Shubra, on Sunday evening.
A security source reported that civil defense men had finished controlling the fire inside the kitchen and evacuated 16 injured people, all of whom suffered from suffocation due to the fumes.
The beginning goes back to the official of the Civil Protection Operations Room in Cairo receiving a notification from the Rescue Police Department about smoke rising from a restaurant.
The Director of the General Administration of Civil Protection in Cairo sent fire engines led by his deputy in coordination with the department warden and the sector inspector
The examination revealed that a fire had broken out inside the kitchen of the three-story Sobhi Kaber Restaurant, resulting in 16 cases of suffocation – they were taken to Al-Sahel Teaching Hospital – and it was completely extinguished.
