Journalist Ahmed Moussa commented on President Sisi’s speech about the importance of reviewing economic reform with the International Monetary Fund, so that it does not affect citizens, saying: The IMF is the reason for the economic pressures to which Egypt is exposed.

Moussa added, during the presentation of the program “On My Responsibility,” broadcast on the “Sada El Balad” channel, today, Sunday, that President Sisi noted that the state lost about 7 to 8 billion dollars in 10 months, due to the events taking place in the region, stressing that President Sisi was frank and the voice of the people reached him.

He explained that President Sisi asked the government to review its dealings with the International Monetary Fund. So that there would not be great pressure on the people, he continued: The IMF has never entered a country without causing major crises and problems, and it is a fund of “distress” and ruin.

He pointed out that citizens’ salaries are not enough until the last day of the month… President Sisi knows this apart from the official reports, and President Sisi is “afraid” for the country and the citizens, and therefore he asked to review Egypt’s position with the IMF.

He continued, saying: Today an egg costs 5 pounds and 6 in some areas, and the economic crisis has affected the rich and the poor, and since October 7 the plans want Egypt and target the state’s capabilities, and we do not want anyone to make us go in another direction.
