“Ministers”: What was raised about the sale of “Lake Bardawil” is baseless information

Counselor Muhammad Al-Homsani, the official spokesman for the Council of Ministers, denied, in a statement issued a short while ago on the Council of Ministers’ Facebook page, the allegations raised on social media regarding the sale of Lake Bardawil.

Counselor Muhammad Al-Homsani confirmed that what was raised about the sale of Lake Bardawil is false and baseless information, calling on everyone to obtain information from its official sources, in light of the war of rumors that the state is exposed to daily.

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers stated that the “Egypt’s Future for Sustainable Development” agency will begin the work of developing Lake Bardawil, indicating that the goal of assigning this task to the agency is to work on the economic development of the lake and restore Lake Bardawil to what it was.

He added that fishing anchorages will be developed to increase fish productivity and develop transportation and trading businesses, which will contribute to increasing income for fishermen and workers in the lake.

He pointed out that there are directives from the political leadership to work on providing a different package of social assistance to fishermen. To help them until the lake regains its productive capacity for fish production.
