AFC Champions League for the Elite… Japan’s Yokohama and South Korea’s Pohang beat Buriram and Shandong

Asian capitals, November 6 (QNA) – Yokohama F. Marinos of Japan defeated its guest, Buriram United, of Thailand, with five unanswered goals, in their match today in the framework of the fourth round matches of the elite AFC Champions League within the East Asian group.

Yokohama’s goals were scored by Anderson Lopez, one of them from a penalty kick, in the 45th and 57th minutes, and Kenta Inoue, Asahi Uenaka, and Buriram United player Neil Etheridge, through an own goal, in the 11th, 45+2, and 66th minutes.

Yokohama’s score rose to seven points in third place, while Buriram United’s score froze at seven points also in sixth place on goal difference.

Four teams are equal with seven points each: Yokohama of Japan, Johor Darul Takzim of Malaysia, Shanghai Shenhua of China and Buriram United of Thailand.

In another match, Pohang Steelers of South Korea defeated its guest, Shandong Taishan of China, by four goals to two in their match within the framework of the same tournament.

Pohang’s goals were scored by Jae Hee Jeong, Jorge Luiz, Anderson Carvalho and Oberdan in the 30th, 64th, 68th and 76th minutes, while Shandong’s goals were scored by Bo Chen and Vincenzo Montella in the 33rd and 90th minutes.

Pohang Steelers’ score rose to six points in seventh place, while Shandong’s score stopped at four points in ninth place.
