Officers filed a report of an injury accident on November 7, 2024, at approximately 8:39 PM at the corner of College Heights Road and Goodnow Ave. Officers report a GMC Acadia, driven by Lacey Farney of Manhattan, was rear-ended by a Suzuki 400 driven by Jackson Ross, also of Manhattan. Ross was transported by EMS to Via Christi for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers filed a report of aggravated burglary and criminal destruction of property in the 100 block of Bluemont Ave. on November 7, 2024, at approximately 11:23 PM.  Officers listed Wal-Mart as the victim when it was reported a known suspect threw a rock through a window and stole an unknown quantity of shotgun shells.

Officers filed a report of robbery in the 1400 block of Collins Lane on November 8, 2024, at approximately 12:34 AM.  Officers listed a 71-year-old female as the victim when a known suspect stole her cell phone, 2025 Toyota Camry, and a SCCY handgun from her. The vehicle was located in Blue Rapids and was recovered.

Howard Amos, 20, of Springfield, Illinois, was arrested on November 7, 2024, at approximately 7:30 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Rd.  Amos was arrested on the probable cause offenses of violation of a protection order x 3. Total bond was set at $6,000. Amos was confined at the time of this report.
