Engineer Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza, and Major General Sameh Al-Hamili, Assistant Minister of the Interior for the Giza Security Sector, witnessed the activities of conducting the public Hajj lottery organized by the Giza Security Directorate, for the Hajj season 1446 AH at the Directorate’s headquarters.

Al-Najjar indicated, according to the governorate’s statement on Thursday, that the lottery was conducted publicly using the electronic system without any human intervention to ensure transparency and justice among applicants and priority was given to those who had not performed the religious duty before.

The Governor of Giza congratulated the pilgrims who were chosen to perform Hajj rituals this year, asking them to pray for the homeland, and that God protect Egypt and its people from all harm and evil, calling on God Almighty for those who were not lucky in this lottery to bless them with Hajj in the coming years.

Major General Sameh Al-Hamili, Assistant Minister of the Interior for the Giza Security Sector, revealed that Giza Governorate’s share of Hajj this year amounts to 2,389 people, including 24 elderly people, representing 1%.

Al-Humaili explained that the Ministry of Interior is making every effort to provide all means of support and comfort to citizens about to perform the Hajj, starting with the announcement of the lottery and its procedures, through to the winners leaving the homeland to perform the Hajj rituals, and working to provide the best services to the pilgrims until they return to the homeland safely. .

The lottery was held at the headquarters of the Giza Security Directorate in the presence of a number of security leaders in the Giza Security Sector.
