Kuwait – November 21 (KUNA) — November 21st ———————— 1964 – Opening of the Embassy of the State of Kuwait to Germany.
1990 – The announcement in Taif of the formation of a 35-member Kuwaiti advisory body headed by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah to provide advice to the Crown Prince with the aim of harnessing all energies and capabilities and consolidating all efforts to achieve national goals and advance the process of liberating Kuwait from the brutal Iraqi occupation.
1991 – The death of Abdullah Abdul Aziz Al-Sadhan at the age of 99. He was director of the Kuwait Municipality Department and then director of the Governance Affairs Department.
2007 – The Ministry of the Interior issues a ministerial decision regarding the issuance of the electoral card, the first article of which states: “Everyone whose name is registered in the electoral rolls and whose registration has become final shall be given an election card bearing a personal photo of the voter and containing his name, date of birth, registration number in the roll, date of registration, and a statement of the electoral district in which he is registered.” .
2009 – Al-Kuwait Club wins the Kuwaiti Football Association Cup title after defeating Al-Arabi Club in the final match on penalty kicks with a score of (7/6).
2010 – The Council of Ministers takes several decisions to address the problem of gas leakage in the Al-Ahmadi region, including approving in principle the establishment of a crisis response center, forming an investigation committee, approving the disbursement of a rent allowance to affected families at the rate of 500 dinars per month, and approving an amount of 500 thousand dinars to disburse according to the requirements of the committee charged with following up on the problem.
2010 – The death of the former President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Counselor Muhammad Al-Rifai, at the age of 79. He was one of the figures of the Kuwaiti judiciary.
2013 – The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development signed a financing agreement with Yemen worth $60 million, allocated for the construction of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad College on Socotra Island and the equipping of 12 colleges specialized in technical education in 12 Yemeni governorates.
2014 – The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development signed a loan agreement worth $110 million with Argentina.
2016 – The opening of the Kuwaiti Bowling Sports Club on an area of about 42 thousand square meters.
2017 – Kuwait announces a donation of one million dollars to meet the emergency humanitarian needs of victims of Caribbean countries as a result of hurricanes that struck the region and to confront the harsh humanitarian conditions.
2018 – The Jaber Al-Ahmad Center for Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, affiliated with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, begins production of the latest material for imaging prostate tumors and using it in medical treatments, becoming the first medical center in the Middle East to produce this material according to the highest international pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
2021 – Kuwait mourns with a military ceremony 19 of the nation’s martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the brutal Iraqi invasion in 1990 after receiving their remains from Iraq and identifying their identities through genetic fingerprinting.
2022 – The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development says that Kuwait is the largest donor country to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), with contributions amounting to 77 million Kuwaiti dinars since 2010. 2022 – The Council of Ministers approves a draft decree on special amnesty for specific crimes in accordance with the requirements stipulated in its articles. This is in continuation of the high desire and princely initiative of the Emir of the country regarding the issue of amnesty for his fellow citizens and in implementation of the provisions of Article (75) of Constitution.
