A big surprise awaited last night (Saturday) the viewers of “The Next Star for Eurovision” in Arc 12, when a Dancing with the Stars contestant and an experienced singer in her own right took the stage to test the way to possibly produce Israel in Eurovision 2025 in Switzerland.
This time, the judges and the audience got to see Valerie Hamati who joined the examinees and of course she is no stranger to competitions like this after she already participated in the eighth season of “The Next Star” where she finished in second place. In total, she received 93 percent of the votes from the audience and the judges, and then revealed herself under the costume.
She said, among other things: “I was terribly afraid to come here, there were a lot of fears until the last moment. I’m glad I’m here because it’s important to overcome our fears and the goal is greater than anything. This is what I thought about when I sang in my two languages, Hebrew and Arabic.”
Shiri Maimon was moved: “It’s amazing that you came, it’s exactly what we needed this year, there is nothing stronger than you standing there. Arabic is an official language in Israel and we are a country that accepts everyone who loves it. You represent it in the best possible way, and beyond that you also An amazing singer.”

Ran Denker also praised Valerie and said: “It’s great that you’re here, I’m addicted to your voice and listen to you at home. Joining the foundation, you have the ability to heal broken and angry hearts and open the gates of heaven. I wish you would go to Eurovision.”
