Books – Muhammad Qadous:
Sheikh Ibrahim Reda, the Islamic preacher and one of the scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, confirmed that celebrating the birth of Mrs. Nafisa and other birthdays is not forbidden as long as it does not violate the limits of Sharia.
The Islamic preacher said that visiting graves, which is part of these celebrations, reminds people of the afterlife, and is something desirable in Islam.
Reda added, during his interview on the “Tahrir Hall” program broadcast on “Sada El Balad” satellite channel: There is nothing preventing one from visiting graves as long as the pure intention is to remind of the afterlife, citing in this the hadith of the Prophet – may God bless him and grant him peace -: “Visit the graves.” It reminds you of the afterlife.”
He stressed the need for Muslims to adhere to Sharia knowledge when issuing fatwas, pointing out that not everyone who has learned Sharia knowledge is qualified to give fatwas, and this is something that must be done carefully in accordance with scientific and Sharia standards.
He stressed the importance of imitating the Prophet’s family in their behavior and actions, considering that imitating them is the right path, as long as the Muslim stays away from forbidden things and is keen on righteousness and piety.
