Spain’s Atletico Madrid defeated its Slovakian guest, Slovan Bratislava, by three goals to one, today, Wednesday, in the sixth round of the league stage in the Champions League.
Julian Alvarez opened the scoring in the 16th minute, and Antoine Griezmann added the second goal in the 42nd minute, before David Strelic reduced the difference in the 51st minute from a penalty kick.
Griezmann returned and scored his second personal goal, and the third for his team, in the 57th minute, so the match ended with a score of 3-1.
With this win, Atletico Madrid raised its score to 12 points, temporarily in tenth place, and Slovan Bratislava, which lost the tournament, is at the bottom of the standings without points.
