Roma defeated its guest Sampdoria with a score of (4-1), to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup, today, Wednesday.
Roma ended the first half with a three-point advantage, with Ukrainian Artem Dovbek scoring the first and second goals in the 9th and 19th minutes, and Thomas Baldanzi added the third goal in the 24th minute.
Sampdoria reduced the deficit in the second half, as Gerard Yepes scored the visitors’ only goal in the 61st minute.
Roma strengthened its advantage with a fourth goal scored by Uzbek Eldor Shomurodov in the 79th minute.
Roma awaits a difficult test in the quarter-finals when it meets Milan, which qualified after a broad victory over Sassuolo with a score of 6/1.
