Al-Masry Club of Port Said fell into a goalless draw against Haras El Hodood during their match, Thursday evening, in the Premier League competition.
The match between Haras El Hodoud and Al Masry was held in the fifth round of the Premier League for the 2024-2025 season.
The Border Guard entered the match with a squad consisting of: “Mohamed Majli, Mahmoud Mamdouh, Fawzi Al-Hanawi, Mohamed Al-Daghimi, Eze Emeka, Abdel-Rahman Gouda, Mohamed Siha, Kosi Osa, Ibrahim Abdel-Hakim, Mofusi Karedola, and Hazem Al-Askari.”
While the Al-Masry formation included: “Mahmoud Gad, Ahmed Eid, Mohamed Hashem, Khaled Sobhi, Amr Saadawi, Samado Atdjiko, Khaled Al-Ghandour, Mohamed Al-Shami, Abdel-Rahim Daghmoum, Ahmed Al-Qarmouty, and Baba Badji.”
In the first minute, specifically after 21 seconds, Al-Masry almost opened the scoring after a pass from Badji, but the ball hit the foot of a Haras Al-Hodood player and then hit the post.
Before the end of the first half, specifically in the 45+2 minute, Ahmed Al-Qarmouty, the Al-Masry player, missed a strange goal in front of the border guards goal.
The events of the first half ended in a goalless draw between Al-Masry and Haras Al-Hodoud.
Al-Masry tried to score the winning goal in the second half, but to no avail due to the toughness of Haras El-Hodoud’s defence, so the match ended goalless.
With this result, Al-Masry loses two points at the top of the Premier League standings, as it occupies first place with 11 points, while Haras Al-Hodood remains in eighteenth and last place with two points.
If Zamalek (second place) wins tonight against Ceramica Cleopatra, it will rise to the top of the Premier League.
