Lebanese media revealed new details about the horrific crime that took place in the Shahim Sharia Court. After a husband shot his wife inside the court, the husband came out. Media personality Abeer RahalKhalil Masoud, in a video clip on his Facebook account, after the crime was carried out, detailing his personal disputes with his wife, specifically the financial ones related to working on a local website he claims to have founded.
A security source reported to Al-Nahar that the body of journalist Abeer Rahal’s husband, Khalil Masoud, was found after he committed suicide, following his crime this afternoon and his threat to commit suicide.
Lebanese security sources reported that a horrific crime had occurred inside the Sharia court in the town of Shehim in Iqlim al-Kharroub, south of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
The sources said that the crime was carried out by the husband of the Lebanese journalist, Abeer Rahhal, who shot her from a close range, killing her instantly.
The National News Agency said that the perpetrator (K.M.) committed suicide after his crime by shooting himself with a military pistol he was in possession of. He was transferred to Siblin Governmental Hospital, but he soon died.
The couple had come to court to complete divorce procedures, according to what was reported by local social media pages.
The same sources added that the shooting took place in front of the courthouse door, but the security authorities have not yet announced the details of the incident.
The media town of Daraya, Abeer Rahhal, who was killed by her husband, Khalil Masoud, was mourned today in front of the Sharia court in the town of Shehim, before he committed suicide, and his body was found inside his car in Wadi Al-Mahanah.
It is noteworthy that the journalist, Abeer Rahal, gave birth to her third child about a month ago, and her husband, Masoud, has children from a previous marriage.

The victim’s family issued the following statement: “The lies claimed by the murderer Khalil Masoud, that our daughter Abeer Rahal had relationships with several people, are untrue and a slander to distort her image.”
The statement added, “As for the killer, Khalil Masoud, publishing a video and naming some people in a relationship with the late Abeer Rahal, we want to make it clear that everything that was said by the killer is pure slander, and most of those named are favored people, who were intermediaries from… Yes, good, but the madness of this crazy person exceeded all limits, and tried to distort the reputation of our daughter Abeer, so we clarify some facts: First, Aan Beer was the one who asked for a divorce from the killer about five months ago, and she is the one who returned. To her family’s home as a result of the continuous attacks on her, and there are more than five complaints with the Public Prosecution and the Shehim police station, which demanded that the divorce be quick, after his financial truth and suspicious relationship were revealed, and the greatest evidence of that is the complaints that the judiciary has against him, as well as the old complaints that It was through the killer in Lebanon and Turkey, and financial fraud, and from here, “Arab News Group” and “Rahal Global”, from the family of the deceased, offer their deepest condolences.
