Earlier, the spokesman for the National Security Council at the White House, John Kirby, stated: “As long as the Houthis continue to attack Israel – we will attack Yemen.” Before that, on Thursday, an Israeli attack was carried out on the territory of the airport of Sana’a and the port of Hudaydah in Yemen.
According to Prof. Emcia Barama senior historian of the Middle East from the University of Haifa, the attack on the airport in Sana’a was “very effective” especially due to the damage to the control tower, which will make it difficult for Iranian transport planes to land. However, he notes that “it is possible to land planes, but it is very difficult, it will be problematic.” Since the beginning of this month, 10 ballistic missiles and about 9 unmanned aerial vehicles have been launched by the Houthis into Israeli territory.
