Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo (captain of Al-Nassr Saudi Arabia) won the Best Player in the Middle East Award for the year 2024, presented by Globe Soccer, which awarded a number of awards in various categories at a ceremony held in Dubai, UAE.
This is the second time in a row that “The Don” has won the award, after winning it last year.
Ronaldo outperformed Saudi Salem Al-Dosari, Serbian Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Al-Hilal), Algerian Riyad Mahrez (Al-Ahly), Moroccan Sufyan Rahimi, Paraguayan Kaku (Al-Ain), and Moroccan Mourad Batna (Al-Fateh).
Ronaldo also won the “Most Goalscorer of All Time” award, having scored 916 goals so far with clubs and the Portuguese national team.

The organizing committee of the Globe Soccer Awards 2024 announced the distribution of awards in 8 different categories.
Globe Soccer is one of the most powerful awards given to athletes around the world on an annual basis, through which the best players, agents, coaches, clubs and club presidents are rewarded for their performance throughout the calendar year.
Below is the list of winners of the Globe Soccer Awards in various categories:
Best Coach of the Year 2024 Award
Italian Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Real Madrid, was crowned the best coach of the year 2024 after an exceptional season with the royal team.
Ancelotti outperformed Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), and Xabi Alonso (Bayer Leverkusen).
He also won the award thanks to his outstanding successes with Real Madrid, where the team won 5 important championships under his leadership in 2024: the Spanish League, the Spanish Super Cup, the Champions League, the European Super Cup, and the Confederations Cup for Clubs.
Best club in the world award
Real won the award for the best club in the world for the year 2024, after winning 4 titles this season: the Champions League, the European Super Cup, the Spanish League, and the Intercontinental Cup.
Best Player and Striker awards
Brazilian striker Vinicius Junior won the Best Striker in the World award after his great performances with Real Madrid.
Vinicius outperformed the most prominent strikers in Europe, such as Erling Haaland, Manchester City’s top scorer, Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, and the rising Barcelona talent, Lamine Jamal.

Best Midfielder Award
Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham won the Best Midfielder Award for 2024.
The Real Madrid star also received the Maradona Award, which honors young talents who are charting their future in the world of football.

Best Junior Award
Barcelona talent Lamine Jamal won the Best Youth Award after his exceptional performance with the team and his effective contribution to the national team in Euro 2024, where he participated in 7 matches and contributed to 5 goals, proving himself as one of the most prominent young talents on the world stage.

Best Coach in the Middle East Award
Portuguese Jorge Jesus (coach of Al Hilal Saudi Arabia) won the Best Coach in the Middle East award for the year 2024.
Jesus led Al Hilal to achieve 4 championships in 2024: the Roshen Professional League, the King’s Cup, in addition to two titles in the local Super Cup, while the Portuguese coach only failed to win the AFC Champions League title.
Under Jesus’ leadership, Al Hilal reached 57 consecutive local matches without losing, a record achievement for a Saudi club throughout history.
Best Club in the Middle East Award
Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates won the Best Club in the Middle East award, crowning its wonderful career during the year 2024.
The Emirati team outperformed the Egyptian Al-Ahly, Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr Saudi clubs.
Al Ain won the AFC Champions League title at the expense of Japan’s Yokohama F. Marinos, which was its second title in the continental competition after the 2003 edition.
It also qualified for the quarter-finals of the Confederations Cup, beating New Zealand’s Auckland City, before being defeated by Al-Ahly of Egypt.
Best Football Career Award
Former Italian star Alessandro Del Piero was crowned with the Best Football Career Award from Globe Soccer.
Del Piero received the award in recognition of his wonderful football career, which witnessed many crowning achievements with Juventus and the Italian national team, the most important of which was the 2006 World Cup.

Special award
Brazilian Neymar da Silva (Saudi Al Hilal star) received a special award.
During his career, Neymar won a number of titles, most notably the Champions League once, the Spanish League twice, the French League five times, and the 2016 Olympic gold medal.
Neymar is also considered the national team’s all-time top scorer in all tournaments, with 79 goals in 128 international matches.

In turn, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez received an award in recognition of his career, which he called “the greatest president of all time.”
Rio Ferdinand, the former England and Manchester United defender, and Belgian Thibaut Courtois, the Spanish Royal Guard’s goalkeeper, also received awards of appreciation for their professional achievements.
