Round 8 has not yet been completed, but the next stage is already approaching: today (Sunday) the draw for the round of 16 of the State Cup was held. In Moked – Maccabi Haifa may meet Maccabi Netanya (if both pass the 8th round), Beitar Jerusalem may host in Acre, and Maccabi Tel Aviv will host Maccabi Bnei Rayna.
As a reminder, the draw is an open draw – that is, any team can meet any team, as is the best tradition of the cup. Among the teams that qualified, there are eight teams from the Premier League, four more from the National League – and one team, Beitar Nordia Jerusalem, from League A. The games will take place between January 14 and 16, 2025.
Three games remain in Round 8 – and will determine the last tickets. Hapoel Umm Al Fachem will host Maccabi Netanya tonight at 19:00, Beitar Jerusalem will host Kiryat Yam from League I at 20:15 – and tomorrow (Monday), Maccabi Haifa will host Ironi Ashkelon from League III.
