Due to Winter Weather Conditions Fulton County Offices and Facilities

Fulton County offices and facilities will remain closed to the public on Wednesday, January 22, after winter precipitation and freezing temperatures. This closure includes the Fulton County courthouse, all government centers, senior centers, libraries, behavioral health and developmental disability facilities, and tax offices.

The Board of Commissioners Meeting scheduled for January 22 will be rescheduled. Additional details will be provided when confirmed.


Fulton County employees will continue to work virtually wherever possible to support residents. All Fulton County public safety and essential infrastructure services will continue.

  • Many services are available online at www.fultoncountyga.gov
  • Superior Court has extended a state of judicial emergency, closing the Fulton County Courthouse and all related annexes through Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Offices are expected to reopen for normal business at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. All court deadlines and filing schedules will be suspended, tolled or extended for the duration of the closure.
  • Virtual hearings will continue as scheduled.
  • All Family Violence matters scheduled for in-person hearings on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the Fulton County Courthouse are hereby rescheduled to Friday, January 24, 2025. All Family Violence Motions matters set for virtual hearings will proceed as originally scheduled.
  • All calendars scheduled for virtual hearings, including Name Change matters, will proceed as originally scheduled.

  • While Fulton County Libraries will be closed, online library services are available at www.fulcolibrary.org. All checked-out items due back during the closure will be given an extension.
  • The Fulton County Behavioral Health Crisis Center at 2805 Metropolitan Parkway SW will remain open 24/7.
  • The Fulton County Animal Services Facility will also close to the public on Wednesday, January 22. Field operations will only take emergency calls and provide public safety support until regular operations resume.
  • Residents may continue to access services of the Fulton County Tax Commissioner online at www.fultoncountytaxes.org or by phone at 404-613-6100. Vehicle tags are also available through kiosks in Kroger stores.

Fulton County Board of Health (FCBOH) clinics will also be closed on Wednesday. Residents with appointments should call 770-520-7500 to reschedule.

Fulton County will continue to monitor conditions and will share additional updates throughout this event.

Many of Fulton County’s 15 cities are making winter weather preparations, including preparation of roadways and opening of warming centers. Fulton County is coordinating closely with these partners.

The Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency is coordinating with all Fulton County public safety partners during this weather event. Residents may monitor updates from AFCEMA @afcema on social media platforms.
