Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior confirmed today, Thursday, in the Barcelona Court, that he was a victim of racist shouts during the El Clásico that was held in October 2023 at Montaguick Stadium, and stated that he wanted to continue legal procedures.
According to judicial sources, the Real Madrid striker appeared today for a short period, through a video from the office of his lawyer in Madrid, in front of the Barcelona judge who is investigating with fans of Barcelona club on charges of racist insults to the Real Madrid star in the El Clásico match in October 2023.
Speaking, according to the newspaper “Sport”, Vinicius stated that he wanted to continue the procedures, which is a key aspect of this type of case, to continue to prosecute the Catalan club fans on charges of racist chanting.
Footage of the stadium cameras and the hadiths of some witnesses allowed the identification of three Barcelona fans such as the chants of the chants, one of whom is a minor who will be investigated by the competent courts after they denied the launch of the racist chants attributed to them.
This is not the only judicial file against the racism that Veniceus Junior has been overcome recently. There is a broader file against Valencia fans that Vinicius officially accuses of firing racist chants at the Mestalla Stadium.
