Director Ahmed Khaled Moussa stresses that “Al-Ataula” is a popular series, and we chose Alexandria as a scene for the events. In the last ten years, most of the popular works were filmed in Cairo’s neighborhoods and streets, and I discussed the idea of filming the work in Alexandria with the producing party, in order to Presenting a popular world in a new way by filming in this charming city, thus breaking the stereotype that the audience is accustomed to, so we chose the port, the sea, and some streets in Alexandria.” He adds, saying, “Ahmed Al-Sakka did not present this popular type of drama in his various experiences, while Tariq Lotfy presented a different type of topics as well, and even the form in which he appears is new, so I promise the audience that these actors and others will appear in a new way, so that the image and the filming locations “The Chosen One is closer to the cinematic image, and I believe that the rhythm will be fast with short scenes that have never been presented in this form in a drama.” Moussa stops at the history of the relationship between Al-Sakka and Tariq Lotfy and says, “In addition to being two wonderful actors on a humanitarian level, they have a long relationship that precedes their appearance in the famous movie “My Level in the American University.” This relationship made it easy for me to convince them to participate in “Al-Ataula,” in addition to “My results with them were successful, and our relationship is good on the human and professional levels.” Finally, Ahmed Moussa refutes the rumor of enemy brothers in the series, and confirms that “Al-Saqqa and Lotfi are two brothers who are interconnected at work.”
