Director Mohamed Sami revealed his extreme fear of illness and death, to the point of terror.
He explained during a special interview on the “Asrar” program, presented by the journalist Amira Badr, broadcast on the “An-Nahar” channel, on Tuesday evening, that he has an obsession with illness and death, in addition to the death of his sister when she was young, as a result of her contracting cancer.
He continued: “I am afraid to ride strange rides in the amusement park and they suddenly break down on me and I fall to die, what a mocking death… or closer to a high wall. I fear someone will tell me, ‘Oh Muhammad, I will go and die, what a mocking death this is, too.’”
He pointed out that his sister, Reham, died when he was 22 years old. She had cancer and then recovered from it, but suddenly she was exposed to a severe health condition, which led to her sudden death.
He pointed out that his sister was talented and good at writing and poetry, and he learned writing from her, stressing that the thing he misses most after her death is her participation in the artistic works that he produces through writing, explaining that he has a greed for success, hoping for continued success and not being forgotten, and he continued: “I feel better about myself.” Najeh Altoul…and I will die successful and not forgotten.”
