Artist Yasser Jalal told the story of the scene where the decor of his series “Godar: One Thousand and One Nights” was exposed to a fire in mid-March.
Yasser Jalal said during his interview with the “Radio Laughs” program presented by Fatima Mustafa on Radio 9090: “The fire that happened in the studio was supposed to be in an oven, and Mr. Islam Khairy, the director, wants to make the live scene so that it comes out fresh, for the sake of credibility. When we light a candle with us, The Civil Defense told us what to do. Before setting off this scene, he consulted the people there, and it happened that we burned the municipal oven, and it turned out that the oven itself was not insulated, and part of what we were in was burned. Hopefully, we would not be able to control it. It took us time, but thank God the fire did not reach the rest of the decor.”
Godder series fireYasser Jalal continued: “The irony is that I was filming the scene of the fire in the store that occurred in the tenth episode, and three days later a fire occurred not in the store, in the store next to it. It was a strange irony.”

During the events of the “Joder” series, the artist Yasser Jalal played the role of “Shahryar” and the role of “Joder bin Omar Al-Masry”. He was working in his father’s shop selling fabrics, but because of his older brother “Salem’s” hatred, he lost everything after he burned down the shop.
