8 teams qualified for the semi-finals of the African Champions League and the African Confederation Cup, including 5 Arab teams.
Al-Ahly of Egypt, the defending champion, and Esperance of Tunisia qualified for the semi-finals in the Champions League, along with Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa and Mazembe of Congo.
Zamalek of Egypt, Ittihad Algeria and Nahdet Berkane of Morocco advanced to the semi-finals of the Confederation Cup, along with Ghana’s Dreams, thus ensuring the Arab teams had at least one place in the final of the tournament.
The two-legged semi-final matches of the African Champions League will be played on Friday the 19th and 26th of this month.
