On this day.. Al-Ahly wins the Egyptian Super Cup for the third time in its history

The club was crowned Al-Ahly On this day, July 23, 2006, the Red Devils won the Egyptian Super Cup against Enppi, and the Red Devils managed to retain their title for the second year in a row, with a killer goal scored by Mohamed Aboutrika shortly before the end of the match, specifically in the first minute of stoppage time, to give Al-Ahly the Super Cup title for the third time in its history.

The Red Devils won the Confederation Cup once in 2014, and were crowned with the African Super Cup 8 times in 2002, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2013, 2014, 2020 and 2021, and won one title in the Afro-Asian Cup in 1998, to crown the Red Devils with 26 continental titles so far.

Throughout its long history, Al-Ahly Club has won the league and cup championships 18 times, the first of which was in the 1948-1949 season, the first season in which the league competition was held, which the Red Devils won. It also succeeded in winning the Egypt Cup title at the expense of Zamalek (Farouk at the time) in extra time (3-1).
