The Matareya Misdemeanor Court ruled to punish the Jordanian blogger Suzy, the owner of the “The Street Behind It” trend, with two years in prison, a fine of 300,000 pounds, and a bail of 100,000, on charges of insulting her father on the air with words offensive to public modesty, and exploiting her sister with special needs, to achieve profits and views.

Investigations revealed that Susie, from the Matareya area in Cairo, called herself the Jordanian Susie due to the presence of a large number of her relatives in Jordan. Her parents are of Egyptian origins, but she lived in Jordan for 11 years, so she obtained Jordanian citizenship, and after her parents separated, she moved to live in Egypt with her mother.

Jordanian Suzy released a shocking video – containing words offensive to modesty and public taste – to her followers on social media platforms, which spread like wildfire, angering many. The video was followed by several complaints filed by lawyers against the girl, accusing her of publishing inappropriate videos on social media sites and attacking the values of Egyptian society.
