Saeed Al-Owairan pointed out the existence of twinning between Al-Ahly Jeddah Club in Saudi Arabia and Al-Ahly Club in Egypt, expressing his readiness to participate in the match with his former teammate Khaled Massad.

Al-Owairan said: “I congratulate Al-Abyad on the occasion of winning the African Super Cup title,” adding: “The relationship between Al-Ahly of Egypt and Al-Ahly of Saudi Arabia has been very good for a long time, and holding a friendly match in Khaled Massad’s retirement is a good thing, and I will participate in the match.”

Regarding the Saudi national team, he pointed out that the national team is currently relying on a group of players, but it lacks collective performance, which is something that is happening for the first time in the history of the Saudi national team. He stressed that Roberto Mancini must work to improve the team’s performance, and that the chance of qualifying for the World Cup finals is great. He added that it is necessary to thank the Saudi fans for their support and backing of the team in the recent period, and that excluding Ali Al-Bulaihi is a natural matter given the presence of more than one distinguished player in his position.

Al-Owairan concluded: “I will hold my retirement match against Zamalek, and congratulate Al-Abyad on the occasion of winning the African Super Cup title.”
