The great Tunisian singer Lotfi Bouchnak was a guest on the program “With You, Mona El Shazly” on ON channel, on the occasion of his honoring for the second time at the Arab Music Festival, and he stressed that standing on the stage of the Egyptian Opera House is an honor.
Lotfi Bouchnak said that the love for Egypt in his heart is very great, and his relationship with it is close, adding: “We learned from its teachers, and I lived there for 5 years and ate from its goodness… Egypt is the undisputed stake of the Arab nation.”
The Tunisian artist talked about his work in Egypt during the 1980s, saying: “I attended the Tunisian Airlines station in Egypt from 1982 to 1987… I was at the old Cairo Airport… and I worked as an air hostess on Tunisian Airlines.”

Lotfi Bouchnak explained that he preferred to work in Egypt in order to be in contact with the Egyptian musical community, and to benefit from this atmosphere, experiences, and broad artistic richness.
Lutfi Bushnak revealed during the meeting that his family’s origins go back to Bosnia and Herzegovina and that the surname “Bushnak” is originally “Bosniak.”
Lutfi Bushnak said that during the events of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Muslims moved from that region to the Arab countries more than 200 or 300 years ago after the Holocaust that it witnessed.
