Winter time will come into effect on the night between October 26 and 27, 2024 (between Saturday and Sunday). At 02:00 the clock hands will go back one hour, so we can sleep for an extra hour. Winter time will continue until the switch to summer time on March 28, 2025.
As every year, on the last Sunday of October in Israel, the clock is moved back one hour. The moving of the clock also marks the change of seasons and the changing weather and its immediate meaning is that the sun rises earlier – and sets earlier accordingly.
Winter time 2024 will continue until March 28, 2025, when we will switch to summer time again.
The transition to daylight saving time takes place on the last Friday of March, when the clock is set back one hour forward. In the meantime, we will have to adapt to the shorter daylight hours in winter.
Should the watch be updated?
In most digital devices, smartphones and smart watches, the transition to winter time is done automatically.
However, if you prefer to check the settings, make sure the device is set to automatically update date and time.
