Today, Tuesday, November 12, is the anniversary of the death of the artist Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, who was called “The Magician.”
The artist Mahmoud Abdel Aziz is considered one of the most prominent Egyptian cinema stars who is famous for his artistic duets, the most prominent of which are:
Naglaa Fathi
One of the most successful duos in Mahmoud Abdel Aziz’s career was his cooperation with the artist Naglaa Fathi in more than one film, most of which showed them having a love relationship.
Their first meeting came with the movie “Goodbye to Torment” in 1978, which was a repeat of the same story as the movie “Our Sweet Days.” Hussein Fahmy and Samir Hosni co-starred with them. In 1979, they presented the movie “Stronger Than the Days” with Adel Adham and Abdel Wareth Asar.
They met in the movie “I Am in His Eyes.” The story of the movie is very similar to the story of the movie “Lady of the Palace,” starring Faten Hamama and Omar Sharif. Their most successful movies were “Love That Doesn’t See the Sun” and “Excuse Me, Law.”
His Excellency Zayed
His meeting with the artist, Maali Zayed, had different faces. He began by discussing an important social issue, wrapped in a comic guise, in “The Apartment is the Wife’s Right,” and director Raafat Al-Mihi chose them to present with him other films of a special nature, based on fantasy, which is “Ladies and Ladies,” Gentlemen,” and “Tamarind Milkfish.”
Suheir Ramzi
Suhair Ramzy collaborated with Mahmoud in more than one artistic work, and they achieved great success and became one of the most famous artistic duos in Egyptian cinema.
Among the works they participated in are “Face to Face,” “Hearts in a Sea of Tears,” “A Woman in My Blood,” “What Do Girls Want,” and “Al-Darb Al-Ahmar.”
Nabila Obaid
The successful duet was repeated with the artist Nabila Obaid, with whom he co-starred in a large group of films, including “Sons and Murderers,” “The Investigation is Still Continuing,” “The Virgin and the White Hair,” and “Please Give Me This Medicine.”
Yusra
Actress Yousra co-starred with him in some of his cinematic works, including “Lovers Under Twenty,” “Darb al-Hawa,” “Tramps,” “Hunger,” and “Sikkat al-Nadama.”
On television, they presented together one of the most famous series based on Egyptian intelligence files, “Raafat Al-Hagan.”
