The sister of Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb passed away last Wednesday evening, in the city of Qurna, west of Luxor Governorate.
Who is the sister of Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb?
She is the elder sister of the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Hajja Samiha Al-Tayeb. She lives in her hometown in Al-Tayeb Square, west of Luxor, specifically in front of the Central Security Sector. She died at the age of 90, after a struggle with illness.
She was admitted to the intensive care room at Karnak International Hospital two weeks ago, and received medical examinations inside. She was visited by her brothers, the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, and Sheikh Muhammad Al-Tayeb, and the rest of the family. She died inside the hospital after a struggle with the disease, and preparations are now being made to bury her in the family cemetery in the area. Qurna, west of Luxor Governorate.
