On the occasion of the 19th of Kislu, which is marked from the evening by the rabbis of Beit Israel, the well-known Chabad rabbi, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Jacobson, arrived from the USA for a strengthening and revival campaign in Israel, during which he made extended visits to the homes of the Lithuanian leader Rabbi Dov Lando and the head of the Hebron Yeshiva. Hagaon Rabbi David Cohen talked with the ‘Maggid’ about Torah and Chassidut in an hour of coolness.
In a conversation with Rabbi Cohen, Torah words from the Baal HaTanya and the Gaon from Vilna, from Rabbi Zadok HaCohen from Lublin and from Mahe Khoza from Lublin, from the ‘Megala Zekokut’ and the Rabbi from Lubavitch, flew in the space of the room, in a deep and warm conversation.
A significant part of the conversation was devoted to education matters, where a wonderful method was woven in the conversation in relation to imparting true values and real self-confidence to children, and the way to deal with the difficult challenges of the generation. The things will be based on wonderful ideas from our Rabbis that the rabbis voiced to each other.
In a conversation with Garad Lando, the Garad opened up and shared his detailed knowledge regarding the essence of the 19th day of Kislu, the history of the Chabad Rebbe and the conceptual method of Ba’al HaTanya.
Gard Lando even mentioned the dedication of the Rabbi of Chabad Zia to the preservation of Judaism in Soviet Russia, and his immortal statement to his researchers – that only those who have two Gods and one soul – fear, but those who have one and two Gods Souls – is not afraid.
The conversation continued from the actions of tzadikim to deepening the Torah, when Rabbi Jacobson mentions the innovation of the Rogochovi Gaon about eight iron skewers from which the candles of the campaign were lit, when the reference is to the skewers from which the western candle alone was lit, since after they were used to speak a mitzvah they became They are an important thing that receives impurity. Grad Lando was hard and argued about things.
Rabbi Jacobson even mentioned an innovation by the Lubavitcher Rabbi ZIA about the fact that the Rambam brings the halacha that the Shabbat candle precedes the Hanukkah candle specifically in the Hanukkah laws, unlike the Shu’a who brings this halacha in the Shabbat laws, and from his very language a new definition emerges – which is the taste The fact that the Shabbat candle comes first is because the Torah was given to make peace in the world, and therefore the issue of ‘peace in the house’ that is being renewed here, and we operate by the Shabbat candles, before all the Torah All of it, which the Hanukkah candle is also part of the Torah…
Rabbi Lando argued that simply the mitzvot of Shabbat is from Daorita, while Hanukkah is from Darbanan, and if so it is understandable why it comes first, and Rabbi Jacobson replied that although Shabbat is from Daorita, but the mitzvot of a Shabbat candle is from Darbanan, and the retribution.
Garad Lando expressed great composure, and congratulated Rabbi Jacobson on great success in spreading the Torah to thousands. Rabbi Jacobson in response wished Garad Lando excitement ‘may he live long in his kingdom’ as the face of the Garad beamed.
