Providing an update, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office notified WEAR News on Tuesday.

In cooperation with the District One Medical Examiner’s Office, the Sheriff’s Office conducts a standard investigation of death due to unexpected or unusual circumstances.
To date, the exact cause and manner of death of Hillary Brown remain undetermined. Likewise, the details of the funeral and obituary have not yet been published.
The investigation is pending completion of the autopsy report from the District One Coroner’s Office.
This meticulous process, which includes extensive laboratory and toxicology tests and information gathered by major crimes detectives, is expected to take several months.
