Around 1 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol, Stewart was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound on the 13900 block of Old St. Augustine Road when he collided head-on with another car.

According to the accident report, Stewart was hit head-on by another car driven by Ariel Monteagudo, who was going the wrong way.

Stewart added: “We think he was only able to see it for a fraction of a second just before the crash.” Stewart’s relatives said he made extra money delivering food using DoorDash.

He lives less than half a mile away. He had excellent driving skills. This is not his fault, Stewart said.

On October 31, 2000, at Greater Iowa Regional Medical Center in Creston, Stewart’s parents, Russell Wayne and Jacqueline Renae (Faris) Stewart, welcomed him.

Trent had the privilege of being Halle’s big brother and Megan’s little brother. He loved the farm life and grew up on a farm east of Delphos, Iowa.

He helped in every way, transporting hay, driving grain wagons and working all day in the fields.

Trent loved to fish and “Lake Delphos” gave him many opportunities to outdo his Uncle Bryan.

Trent would go to great lengths to learn all he could about fishing or any other subject that interested him.

He grew up watching his father race and raced several times this summer in Stuart, Iowa.

Off the farm, Trent grew up with a love for sports and played T-Ball, Little League, Pop Werner football, junior high and high school football, and basketball.

Trent loved track and excelled at hurdles. In his sophomore year, he took leadership roles and led his hurdles relay team.
