In a significant health update, Buckingham Palace has announced that the United Kingdom’s King Charles III diagnosed form of cancer. This statement comes after a recent hospital visit originally intended to treat a benign prostate enlargement, during which another troubling problem was discovered.

The 75-year-old king has begun a regular schedule of treatment, and his medical team has advised him to postpone public engagements for the time being. However, he will continue to perform his royal duties and manage government documents as usual.

King Charles III thanked the medical team for their quick intervention and maintained a positive attitude about his treatment. He hopes to resume public duties as soon as possible and decided to reveal his diagnosis to prevent speculation and promote understanding among cancer patients, KhaoSod reported.

King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis follows reports over the past two weeks about his health. On January 17, it was announced that the king would receive treatment for an enlarged prostate next week. By January 26, he visited the London Clinic, a private hospital in London, while Queen Camilla assured the public that he was in good health. On January 29, King Charles left hospital after three days of treatment, and the palace advised him to postpone his royal engagements for a period of recovery.

On February 4, King Charles III, accompanied by his wife Camilla, appeared at church in Sandringham, his first public appearance since his hospital stay. The following day, Buckingham Palace revealed that the king had been diagnosed with a form of cancer that was discovered during his recent treatment and had started standard therapy.

Buckingham Palace did not specify the type of cancer, except to clarify that it was not prostate cancer. The revelation came amid the king’s treatment for a benign prostate enlargement.
