The great artist Yousra mourned the artist Jamil Barsoum, who passed away yesterday, Monday, after a long struggle with illness.
“Yousra” published a picture of him on her official account on the “X” application and commented: “May God have mercy on the beautiful, humble, and well-mannered artist, Jamil Barsoum. My sincere condolences to all his family.”
A large number of art stars and media figures were keen to mourn the great artist Jamil Barsoum, including the artist Ayten Amer, the artist Nelly Karim, the artist Edward, the art critic Tariq El-Shenawy, the artist Simon, the artist Muhammad Ali Rizk, the great artist Salah Abdullah, the artist Nihal Anbar, the artist Fathi Abdel Wahab. .
Father Boutros Daniel, head of the Catholic Center for Cinema, announced the death of artist Jamil Barsoum in the early hours of Monday morning, and Daniel wrote on his official Facebook account: “Grant him eternal rest, O Lord, and may your everlasting light shine upon him and may he rest in peace, Amen.”
He continued: “We offer our heartfelt condolences on the passing of the wonderful, decent and humble artist Jamil Barsoum, who entertained us all with his fine artistic works. We ask for mercy and forgiveness from God and condolences to his family and lovers.”
The artist Jamil Barsoum began his artistic career in 2009, and during his career he participated in a number of works in cinema and television, most notably: (The People of Cairo, The Cousins, The Blue Elephant, The Treasure, The Witch of the South, Taya, Valentino, The Tiger Seal, and The Godfather).
The Catholic Center Film Festival honored the artist Jamil Barsoum a few days ago in its 72nd session, and Barsoum said during his honor: “I was afraid I would die before I was honored.”
