Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting today to review the proposal to develop the educational system for high school.

This came in the presence of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, Ramadan Muhammad, Assistant Minister of Education, and Akram Hassan, Head of the Central Curricula Administration at the Ministry of Education. .

At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that developing the education sector in Egypt is a top priority for the government’s work, indicating that the state is making every effort to develop the various educational levels, ensuring the provision of an advanced educational system that effectively contributes to achieving the goals of sustainable development, stressing that the proposal Developing the high school educational system aims primarily to alleviate the suffering of Egyptian families and achieve the maximum possible benefit for the student.

During the meeting, the Minister of Education reviewed the results of the study of the current situation of the current high school system, and the development goals, as he indicated that the proposal aims to prepare students for the university education stage through a flexible education system, and empower students with basic knowledge and skills in various scientific, technological, social, and humanitarian fields. .

The Minister added that the proposed system also aims to enhance critical and analytical thinking capabilities, research and innovation skills, and develop students’ awareness of local, regional and global issues and challenges, in addition to enabling students to effectively and safely use modern technology.

Dr. Reda Hegazy also touched on the proposed development axes, which include five main axes: the curriculum axis, the teachers axis, the infrastructure and technology axis, the axis of reducing the phenomenon of private lessons by creating an educational platform that includes the best teachers, and the axis of student evaluation.

In the same context, the Minister of Education touched on the most important development features and the proposed organizational structure for the new high school system.

For his part, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, thanked the Minister of Education and the Ministry’s work team for the efforts made to develop, stressing the need to pay attention to the pre-university education stage, in line with the requirements of the labor market in light of global developments. The Minister also indicated that there is a committee A joint statement from the two ministries, where great efforts have been made in this context, and that there are some points that are still being researched and discussed.

The Minister of Education confirmed that the proposal will be presented for community dialogue, by inviting local and international experts in this field, and holding a number of discussion sessions to reach consensus on the proposal.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister directed that the two ministries agree on the smallest details regarding the proposed vision, in order to achieve the state’s development goals, before presenting this vision for community dialogue.
