The General Authority of Meteorology revealed details of the weather conditions from today, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, to Sunday, March 24, 2024.
The Authority expected that cold weather would prevail in the north of the country up to Greater Cairo, warm in South Sinai and the south of the country, and cold at night and early in the morning in most parts.
She added that moderate rain is expected to fall on areas of the north-eastern coasts, which may be thundery at times at intermittent intervals, with an incidence of approximately 50%, in addition to light to moderate rains on areas of the north-western and northern Lower Egypt coasts, extending light with an incidence of approximately 20% over the course of the year. Areas of South Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, and Sinai at intermittent intervals, with an incidence of approximately 30%.
As for wind activity, she indicated that there is wind activity in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, South Sinai, and North Upper Egypt at intermittent periods, which increases the feeling of cold weather.
The Authority confirmed that the weather of Wednesday, March 20, and Thursday, March 21 is witnessing a slight and temporary rise in temperatures in most areas, noting that there is wind activity on Thursday, March 21, 2024 on some agricultural and highway roads close to bodies of water leading to and from areas of Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt. The northern coasts, the canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt, in addition to areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coasts at intermittent periods.
She pointed out that there is water mist on some agricultural and highway roads close to bodies of water leading to and from areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, the canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt.

The Authority continued that there is wind activity on areas of the northern coast, South Sinai, and the south of the country at intermittent intervals, pointing out that all necessary preparations and measures must be taken to limit the effects resulting from the expected weather phenomena.
