Gold prices on the global stock market
Gold recorded its lowest level in a week during yesterday’s session at the level of $2146 per ounce, and it had opened the trading session at the level of $2156 per ounce. The decline in gold prices today comes after it ended last week’s trading with a decline of 1%, so that gold continues to gradually move away from the highest historical level it recorded. On March 8, it was at $2,195 per ounce.
Last week, data showed that consumer prices in the United States rose strongly in February, in addition to producer prices rising more than expected amid a rise in the cost of goods such as gasoline and foodstuffs, which indicates that US inflation is more consistent than expected.
