Gold prices in evening trading today, Tuesday, March 19, 2024

We publish gold prices in evening trading today, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, after gold prices in Egypt rose by about 20 pounds, and a gram of 21 carat gold, which is the best-selling gold in Egypt, recorded 3,050 pounds.

Gold prices today:

24 karat records 3486 pounds.

21 carat costs 3050 pounds.

18 karat weighs 2614 pounds.

14 karat records 2033 pounds.

The gold pound is 24,400 pounds.

Gold prices fell during trading on Tuesday, but remained above key support levels as markets remained largely hesitant about the direction of trading for the precious metal ahead of the Federal Reserve meeting tomorrow, which may provide further clues to the timing of interest rate cuts this year.

The price of an ounce of global gold decreased during today’s trading by 0.3% to record the lowest level at $2147 per ounce after opening today’s session at the level of $2160 per ounce. At the time of writing the technical report for Gold Billion, it was trading at the level of $2153 per ounce.

Gold returned to decline during today’s session after recording a 0.2% rise yesterday, while the price has so far failed to break the main support area at $2150 – $2145 per ounce, due to weak momentum currently as investors await the results of the Federal Reserve meeting.

It is widely expected that the Federal Reserve will keep interest rates steady during its two-day meeting that ends on Wednesday, while markets await the release of economic forecasts by members of the bank, which some expect may see a change in the number of rate cuts this year.
