The Ministry’s exhibition was launched in Dokki under the slogan “From the best of our farms to our people” amid great interaction from citizens and visitors. Yesterday, the exhibition witnessed a remarkable achievement by achieving three tons of various agricultural products.
Tilapia fish prices at the exhibition
Saleh, the official at the exhibition, announced the offering of tilapia fish at competitive prices ranging between 50, 60 and 70 pounds per kilo, stressing the quality of the products offered, and the quantities are doubled daily with the same quality to meet the needs and desires of citizens to purchase.
Exhibition working hours
The exhibition doors are open daily from 10 am to 10 pm, without closing on Fridays, throughout the holy month of Ramadan. This step comes in response to the directives of the Minister of Agriculture to ensure the availability of agricultural products to citizens during the month of fasting.
Distribution of goods in various governorates
The exhibition is organized in cooperation with the Ministry to distribute goods and food products in 274 fixed outlets and 33 mobile outlets in various regions, villages and squares, with the aim of providing goods at reduced prices to citizens and meeting their basic needs of meat, poultry, fish and other products.
The exhibition initiative represents an ideal opportunity for farmers and producers to display their products directly to the public, which enhances direct communication between the producer and the consumer, and enhances awareness of the importance of supporting local agriculture and appreciation of the efforts of agricultural workers in providing quality food products.
With this exhibition, the government’s efforts are embodied in achieving a balance between supply and demand in the markets, and providing support to farmers and producers to improve their standard of living and provide food products to citizens at reasonable prices.
