The Petrojet team returned to the Egyptian Premier League, led by the “owner of the Ascension Blade”, Sayed Eid, after a 4-year absence from the top flight.
The last time the Petroleum Team participated in the Premier League was in the 2018/19 season, when it ranked 16th (among the 3 places leading to relegation).
Eid ends the lean years of petroleum
After relegation to the second division, the Petrojet team suffered a lot, until Sayed Eid took over the technical leadership behind Haitham Shaaban on November 21, 2022.
During one season, Eid was able to lead the petroleum team to the Premier League, after qualifying for the professional league qualifiers for the Premier League, and topped the standings three matches before the end of the matches.
Previously, Sayed Eid succeeded in ascending to the Premier League with the Cairo club Al-Nasr twice, and Al-Dakhleya once, making today’s promotion the fourth for the able coach.
All of this came after Petrojet spent 13 consecutive seasons in the top flight, following their promotion in the 2006/7 season.
