The professional license for teachers, issued by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, is a document proving that its holder meets specific standards and controls for practicing the teaching profession, according to levels and a specific period of time.
Obtaining a professional license requires passing two tests designed to measure general and specialized educational standards, namely the general educational test and the specialized test, in (38) specializations.
The Education and Training Evaluation Commission implemented professional licensing tests in (3) sessions, starting from 2021 AD until 2023 AD.
The percentage of male and female teachers in public schools who met the requirements for a professional license was (56%).
Their number is more than 286 thousand male and female teachers, while the number of those who issued licenses reached more than 154 thousand male and female teachers in government schools.
The fifth session of these two types of tests (the general educational test and the specialized test) will be held in the fourth quarter of the year 2024 AD, and the test dates and registration will be announced later.
