Al-Ittihad Club reserved its place in that tournament after winning the Saudi League title last season, and Al-Nasr also qualified after finishing as runner-up.
On the other hand, Al Hilal qualified after winning the 2022-2023 King’s Cup, and Al-Wahda Club joined after finishing as runner-up in the King’s Cup.
Sports journalist Walid Al-Farraj said on his program: “During the 48th, the agreement to hold the Saudi Super Cup in Abu Dhabi will be announced, and this is a return to the policy of holding the tournament in cities and capitals outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
He added: “The matches will be held during the last two days of the month of Ramadan, and then the final will be held after Eid Al-Fitr.”
According to what was mentioned, the 8th and 9th of April were set as the dates for the semi-final matches between Al-Ittihad against Al-Wahda, and Al-Nasr against Al-Hilal.
The final match of the Saudi Super Cup will be held on April 12.
The Saudi Super Cup is organized with the participation of 4 teams for the second time in a row after changing its previous system, which combined the league and King’s Cup champions. The tournament was launched for the first time in 2013, and the Al-Ittihad team was crowned champion of the last edition that took place last season.
