Sharjah – Muhammad Al-Asmai

Social media pioneers circulated a shocking video clip documenting the moment Egyptian journalist Amr El-Laithi fell into the concrete of the third floor while filming an episode of his program “One of the People,” which is broadcast during Ramadan.

Al-Khaleej contacted the journalist Amr Al-Laithi, who said: “Praise be to God, I am well and have returned to filming my program (One of the People).”

In exclusive statements to Al-Khaleej, Amr Al-Laithi revealed the secret of his insistence on filming episodes of his program “One of the People,” saying: “Despite my health conditions, the commitment is in front of the viewer other than that my program is charitable, so I continue to work and film the program on a daily basis.”
He pointed out that the program “fulfills people’s Ramadan wishes, visits workers and rewards them for their dedication to their work during the holy month. Despite these circumstances, I continue to provide it.”

According to the video, the Egyptian journalist was conducting television interviews with workers at a construction site, expressing his appreciation to them for their hard work during the day in Ramadan, but he did not notice that there was a void in the concrete of the third floor, so his feet slipped and he fell inside, screaming for relief by saying: “Help me!” , according to Cairo 24.

The workers intervened immediately and helped remove him from his place. He was taken to the hospital and was later released after receiving treatment.
Journalist Amr Al-Laithi explained that he suffered a wound that required 15 stitches, pointing out that he also suffered a fracture in the right rib, in addition to bruises in the back.
